Future Plans
Membership Outreach
As a health co-operative, VCHC is committed to continuing to reach out to our members, and the broader community, to ensure that our programs and services represent the needs and values of those we are serving. We will continue to offer community forums as a means of listening to our members and to the larger Victoria community.
Our co-operative is as strong and successful as the committment and participation of our membership. We will continue to welcome an expanded membership from our community in order to attract participation in the programs, services, administration and governance of the co-operative. We need your involvement in order to meet our mandate and fulfill our vision.
Health Education
Education has always been an important priority for our Board and membership. Our integrative health care team is interested and committed to offering presentations in the community on different health and wellness topics important to you. We are also hoping to develop our health database in order to have an online resource for members to learn about the means to dis-ease management and health care.
Community Wellness Clinics
Our Community Wellness Clinics continue to be an important service we provide to our membership, and we look forward to expanding these clinics in order to reach more people in need of CAM health services, but who may be unable to access them.
Co-op Community Health Centres
Our Co-op Community Health Centre located in the James Bay community Project at 547 Michigan Street. It is a community owned health care facility with an integrative health foundation and a history of innovation in providing superior access to health care in a caring and friendly environment. As demand for family physicians and CAM practitioners continues to grow in Victoria, the VCHC is planning on opening other CCHCs in different parts of the city in order to provide quality health and wellness care to broader populations in our city.
