Co-operative Community Health Centre (CCHC)
The Co-op Community Health Center @James Bay (CCHC) opened at 547 Michigan Street in September of 2010 in order to provide integrative primary health services and programming for our over 3500 patients.
Your CCHC Wellness Team. You are the leader in your own wellness. Your wellness team includes our Family Physicians, our Medical Office Assistants, and our Complementary and Alternative (CAM) Practitioners who all work at the CCHC.
The practitioners at the CCHC are working towards fully Integrative Primary Health Care – the first such Health Co-op in BC. Our family physicians and our midwife are funded by the MEdical Services Plan (MSP), while our Complementary and Alternative Medical (CAM) Practitioners work on a fee for service system. Several of our CAM practitioners work on a sliding scale to help make their services more affordable to our patients and members. In some cases, health co-op members receive a special members’ rate when receiving services from these practitioners. Eligibility: Every person who was previously a patient at the James Bay Community Clinic is eligible for services at the CCHC. Membership in the VCHC is not a requirement.

If you are a current patient at the CCHC you can make an appointment by calling 250 388-6811. If you are without a family doctor , please contact our Medical Office Assistant, Neeraj, at 250 388-6811 to ask about the possibility of becoming a patient at the CCHC. While our medical practice currently serves over 3500 patients, we are able to accept new patients, from time to time, as our capacity and staffing allows. Our aim is to provide excellent, compassionate, and timely care to our patients and for this we must conscientiously support our hard-working practitioners and Medical Office Assistants: Jane, Neeraj, Jennifer and Cindi
Hours:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:30am to 4:30pm
Tuesday and Thursday: 8:30am (9:30 on Tues) - 5pm.
